For many countries throughout the world Handlbauer stands for market and export competence. Over 20,000 farmers, predominantly from Upper and Lower Austria, supply the individual abattoirs with quality pigs and cattle.

With an export percentage of around 45 % the Handlbauer-Gruppe is one of the largest exporters of meat in Austria. Together with the slaughter of cattle and pigs, basic butchery and also carving and trimming, Handlbauer operates a processed meat factory, and an SB packaging and cold storage facility. With a storage capacity of around 3000 t, the Handlbauer-Gruppe is in a position to cope with seasonal fluctuations and to ensure a constant supply. The Handlbauer-Gruppe employs over 250 staff.
